The Michigan High School Athletic Association will honor participants in the School Broadcast Program for excellence in production of athletic events during the 2019-20 school year. The Boys Basketball Semifinal field trip includes workshops on play-by-play announcing and best camera operation/directing techniques and a panel presentation by broadcasting industry professionals, talking about the career opportunities that exist in sports media. Working with the Student Broadcasting Foundation, SBP schools also had an opportunity to make a trip to a student media day conducted by the Detroit Tigers.įield trips are scheduled for 2018-19 in November during the MHSAA Football Finals and in March during the Boys Basketball Semifinals.
